Nice one! It's a total shit-show, and I'm starting to despise it. They bought out TuneUp Utilities, reskinned it and removed features. False positives galore, bloatware, in app advertising (I already own their Ultimate product, and they're trying to sell me VPN through my antivirus!).

Thinking of building a new system this year, and I'm pondering whether to ditch AVG for good. Now they claim Malwarebytes can replace your antivirus, and I wondered whether the more security-minded amongst you think that's true. It was never considered a replacement for, but an layer of protection alongside your antivirus. Was tipped off to buy a lifetime license before they moved to subscription. I'd been using AVG as long as I can remember, before I discovered Malwarebytes.
